This trip is intended for families with small children, going through a section of the river called the Milk Run, consisting of Class I and II rapids. The children that can participate in this trip must be at least 3 years old and 30 pounds. For the family float, you will start off in Johnson’s Village, at the Wilderness Aware put in, and float down the Arkansas River until you take out for lunch. The guide will make you and your group a lunch that you guys can enjoy along side of the river for a nice little break. After lunch, you will get back on the river and travel for a few more hours, until you take out at our McMurry’s take-out spot, near Nathrop, Colorado. There, we will have a bus waiting, and you guys will be shuttled back to our office in Buena Vista. During the float you will be able to enjoy the scenery around you, while being able to be on the boat with your youngsters.
