Employment Application Success
Thank you for your on-line application!
I think that you have the experience and enthusiasm to become a whitewater rafting guide! I just want to make sure that you understand that it is very physically demanding and the training is extensive. We would also like a multiyear commitment. Still want to be a guide?
We will make our final decisions by the end of February-first of March.
There are a couple of things that we would like to know about you.
- When we go through the whole process of training someone, we like to have them stay for at least two years. Please let me know if you think that you could give us a two year commitment.
- I want to make sure that you are an adventurous person that is up to the challenge. This is a tough job, and honestly most people can’t do it. You have to love the outdoors, be flexible, and be willing to show up everyday throughout the summer and raft one of Colorado’s most challenging rivers.
If you are selected as part of the Buffalo Joe’s Whitewater Rafting team you will need to have the following items ready.
- The ability to come to Buena Vista Colorado no later than mid May. The training trip will start around May 21st 2012.
- The ability to pay in full for your training trip. The total price will be $399.00 which will include everything that you are going to need for the training trip. This price does not include sleeping bag or tent rentals. We accept Visa, Master Card, personal checks, travelers checks, and cash.
Thanks again for your time and we hope to see you on the river this summer. We will be in touch to let you know if you have been accepted or if we would like to have a phone interview with you.
Please feel free to call with any questions.
