Our office in Buena Vista is located 113 North Railroad Street, below are detailed directions from how to get to our base in Buena Vista.
Time: 2 hours
Take I-70 west to C470 to Hwy 285 south (in Denver 285 is called Hampden Road) 120 miles towards Buena Vista to the Hwy 24/285 junction (just past Johnson Village). Turn right toward Buena Vista on Hwy 24. Go 3 miles into the town of Buena Vista, you will come to the only stoplight in town, take a right, then take the first left after going over railroad tacks and you will see our building.
Time: 1 hour and 45 minutes
Take Hwy 24 west out of Colorado Springs. You will go approximately 90 miles towards Buena Vista to the Hwy 24/285 junction (just past Johnson Village). Turn right toward Buena Vista on Hwy 24. Go 3 miles into the town of Buena Vista, you will come to the only stoplight in town, turn right, then take the first left after going over railroad tacks and you will see our building.
Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Take I-70 west to the Copper Mountain/Leadville exit, which is Hwy 91. Take Hwy 91 south to Leadville where you will pick up Hwy 24. Take Hwy 24 east down to Buena Vista. Once in Buena Vista you will come to the only stoplight in town, turn left, take your first left after going over railroad tacks and you will see our building.
Time: 3 hours - 3 1/2 hours
Take Hwy 36 south to I-25 south to I-70 west, to C470, then to Hwy 285 south (Fairplay exit). Take Hwy 285 south 120 miles towards Buena Vista to the Hwy 24/285 junction (just past Johnson Village). Turn right toward Buena Vista on Hwy 24. Once in Buena Vista, you will come to the only stoplight in town and take right, take the first left after going over railroad tacks and you will see our building
Please note Bighorn Sheep Canyon, Royal Gorge, Raft-n-Rail and Whitewater Wine and Dine trips depart from this office. Browns Canyon, Wildhorse and Numbers trips depart from our Buena Vista office (see below). Please call us at 800.748.2953 if you are unsure of the office location from which your trip departs.
We suggest you use an official state of Colorado road map and plan for delays. Please be advised that all trips leave on time and check in is 45 minutes prior to departure.
From Colorado Springs (east side, Airport): Take Academy Blvd. south (it eventually curves to the west and goes under I-25). Stay in the left lane for about one mile and make a left onto Hwy 115 heading south. See below and follow the directions marked, "Once you are on Highway 115."
From Colorado Springs (north side or central): Take I-25 South through Colorado Springs to exit 140. After exiting I-25 proceed to the second light and make a right onto Nevada Avenue, which becomes Hwy 115. Now follow the directions below marked "Once you are on Highway 115."
From Colorado Springs (south side): Head south on Nevada Avenue, which becomes Hwy 115. Now follow the directions below marked "Once you are on Highway 115."
From Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs (west side): Take Hwy 24 East to Nevada Avenue and head south. Nevada Ave. becomes Hwy 115. Now follow the directions marked "Once you are on Highway 115."
From Denver: ECHO is about 2 hours from the intersection of I-25 and C-470. From this point take I-25 South from Denver through Colorado Springs to exit 140. After exiting I-25 proceed to the second light and make a right onto Nevada Avenue, which becomes Hwy 115. Directions continue below picking up with "Once you are on Highway 115."
Once you are on Highway 115:
Proceed south approximately 30 miles through Penrose to U.S. Hwy 50. Turn right (west) on Hwy 50 and continue through Cañon City. Eight miles west of Cañon City you will find Echo Canyon River Expeditions located between mile markers 270 and 271 on the north side of U.S. Hwy 50. Look for our blue and white sign which reads, "You Can Raft Today!"
From Salida (west slope region): Take Hwy 50 East approximately 55 miles. After you leave the river corridor and climb a large hill you will find us on the left hand side of the highway between mile marker 270 and 271. Look for our blue and white sign which reads, "You Can Raft Today!"
From Breckenridge (Frisco, Summit County): Take Hwy 9 South over Hoosier Pass through Fairplay. To stay on Hwy 9 you will need to make a right at the end of town followed by a left shortly after you leave the Fairplay area following the signs to stay on Hwy 9. The next town you come to is Hartsel. Follow the signs through the town of Hartsel, as you will be making a right in order to stay on Hwy 9. Hwy 9 will dead-end with Hwy 50 forty-seven (47) miles after you leave Hartsel. Turn left (east) onto Hwy 50 and proceed 1.5 miles. We are on the left hand side. Look for our blue and white sign which reads, "You Can Raft Today!" Note: While passing through Hartsel you are about 500 yards south of the geographic center of the State of Colorado!
